NEED A SAMPLE TESTED?
Sample Identification
The following should be included:
- Name of sample
- Name of sampler
- Sample type
- Date
- Time
- On-site analysis such as free chlorine (to be included in the report)
Chemistry
- It is recommended to use a new sampling plastic bottle (to reduce contamination).
- Rinse the sampling bottle three times with source of water to be sampled.
- 1 litre sample is recommended.
Microbiology
- Collect samples in clean sterile glass/plastic bottles or pre-sterile plastic bag.
- Sample should be analysed as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours after sampling.
- A minimum of 250 ml sample is required.
- For viruses, 10-liter sample is required.
